For over five years, The Evacuation Company has proudly partnered with the City of Bath, significantly enhancing the safety and accessibility of its historic landmarks. Our extensive work includes the Roman Baths, Kings Baths, and the Guild Hall, with plans to extend our services to the cityβs renowned Art Gallery in the near future.
At the Roman Baths, we achieved a milestone by making it the first fully accessible World Heritage Site globally. This involved meticulous planning and the implementation of state-of-the-art evacuation equipment and procedures, ensuring all visitors, including those with mobility challenges, can safely explore this iconic site.
Throughout the project we took full responsibility for comprehensive evacuation services. Conducting access audits allowed us to develop and implement customised evacuation plans tailored to the unique architecture and visitor flow of these historic sites. This approach maximises safety and efficiency, reflecting our commitment to excellence in every project.
In the Guild Hall, we utilise stair climbers as part of our evacuation strategy. Notably, the Mayor of Bath has a personalised stair climber for his wheelchair, ensuring his comfort and safety during emergencies. This personalised service exemplifies our dedication to inclusivity and customer care.
To uphold the highest safety standards, we conduct annual training sessions for staff. These sessions ensure the team remains up-to-date in the latest evacuation techniques and protocols, ready to respond effectively in any emergency scenario.
Our collaboration with the City of Bath underscores our commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions in evacuation and accessibility. By integrating technology with thorough training programs, we are proud to be setting new standards in safety and inclusivity for heritage sites worldwide.
